Inks for franking with Neopost and Hasler franking machines and others
Our franking inks have been developed with particular focus on two aspects: First, they have to start printing immediately, even if the franking machine has not been used for some time, in order to ensure that no postal charges are lost. This requires a very specific surface tension and viscosity, which took numerous tests to determine. Secondly, we were aiming to use an intense and highly stable dye for the Octopus Fluids franking inks.
Only with the right dye, we can be sure that the prints produced by our franking inks are immediately and accurately recognised by the scanners in the mail sorting systems. Furthermore, the durability of the dyes under difficult conditions plays an important role for us. Fluctuating temperatures, variable humidity levels and high light irradiation throughout the entire mail route should not affect the franking print in order to ensure that each letter arrives at its destination and to avoid returns.
